Fraser Coast is a length of coastline following Fraser Island, separated
from the mainland by the waterways known as the Great Sandy Strait
In between are many small island like Stewart Island. Separated from
Fraser Island by 500m wide channel called Garry's Anchorage & is favourite
stop over for boats cruising the Strait

towns nestled on the mainland opposite Fraser Island.
These peaceful coastal villages are only 15 to 20 minutes by "tinnie" from
the World Heritage listed Fraser Island across The Strait.
Great Sandy Strait is popular with boating and fishing enthusiasts. who enjoy
fishing and crabbing in the deep channels or in the many estuaries and tidal
bays accessible from the boat ramps located at all of the villages.
This waterway is haven for dugongs & turtles.
